Have u tried TomatoCart? It's really cool!
I specially like its admin panel which is web desktop style. So amazing! I do hate complicated settings, but TomatoCart is easy-to-use.

I've heard a lot of good stuffs regarding presta shop. I guess it's pretty competitive when it comes to features of shopping carts especially for multiple sites.

Does anyone have a lot of experience with OpenCart around here? I've installed the latest version and so far, it seems very good!

I am, however, shocked at the number of updates OpenCart has released in the last week and a half. They went from 1.4.0 to 1.4.4. in like 10 days! Way too much, if you ask me.

I tried OSCommerce but was put off by its security issues, complex code & slow release cycles. As an alternative option for you, I ended up using DLGuard (http://tinyurl.com/dlguardlearn) for its multiple payment processor support, security and automation. I put up a full review at sell eBooks and software online.

While its not free like the others on your list – you get what you pay for, and for me the download sales security is worth paying for!

Wow, thanks so much for the list. My mind has been on an online shop lately in which I´ll need a shopping cart of course. I didn´t know where to begin though, and I was thinking of paying for one.

Now I´m thinking that maybe I could use an opensource one, and do it myself, or alternatively ask a buddy to help me with it.
Either way, it seems like a cheaper and better alternative.

Great list here - we use Magento with 99% of our clients - they have the best marketing platform in my humble opinion, and updates are a synch! Thanks again, we'll try some of these other solutions perhaps in 2010 as some of the more "infant" platforms continue to evolve.
